Karen received her mediation training and certification from the Straus Institute For Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law. She holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University in Los Angeles. Her training emphasized mindfulness theory, which focuses on stress reduction. Her involvement in cases with children and higher conflict cases is particularly valuable. A native of Scottsdale, Arizona, she holds her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Arizona State University.
At The Antioch University Counseling Center in Los Angeles, Karen provided compassionate support and sensitive feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. She has experience working with relationship issues, anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and addiction. Karen’s mediation approach is facilitative, patient and intuitive. She is committed to helping clients at The Aurit Center build their physical and emotional capacities for healing, wholeness, and healthy well-being. Karen is currently pursuing her licensure to become a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in Arizona.
