Ending a marriage can still leave room for respect, privacy, and a clear plan for what comes next. At Aurit Mediation’s Scottsdale headquarters, you and your spouse sit down with a neutral attorney-mediator and decide parenting, support, and property together, without handing those choices to a judge.
Your mediator keeps each conversation on track, explains the Arizona rules that apply, and turns your agreements into a court-ready decree that Aurit files for you. Most couples finalize without a court appearance, and the average mediation finishes in a matter of months, not years.

For the statewide picture, our guide covers the full path from first conversation to signed decree. These Scottsdale pages cover the decisions a divorce often includes:
A parenting plan that gives your children stability in both homes.
Support worked out together with Arizona's calculator.
Whether maintenance belongs in your agreement, and for how long.
A fair split of the home, savings, and debts.
Parenting and support plans for parents who never married.
Family agreement on care for a child or an aging relative.
Scottsdale divorces are filed with the Superior Court in Maricopa County. Depending on the ZIP code of the spouse who files, the case is usually assigned to the Northeast Regional Center in Phoenix or the Southeast Justice Center in Mesa. Most couples who mediate finalize without a court appearance, and Aurit handles the filing so you always know where your case stands.
Aurit began right here: Michael, who grew up in Scottsdale, and Karen opened the center in Scottsdale in 2014. Today our licensed Arizona attorney-mediators and mediation specialists guide couples through every step.

Founder and Mediator Michael co-founded Aurit in Scottsdale, the city where he grew up. He served as President of the Academy of Professional Family Mediators from 2019 to 2021, serves as Ethics Chair of the Maricopa County Association of Family Mediators, and has taught mediation as an adjunct professor of law. For divorcing couples, that leadership means a fair, carefully run process from the first session to the final decree.

Founder and CEO Karen co-founded Aurit to give families a calmer way through divorce, and as CEO she leads the team that guides each case. Her clinical psychology background helps couples manage the emotional side of hard decisions, and she trains other mediators through the National Mediation Training Institute she co-founded with Michael.

Lead Mediator As Lead Mediator, Andrew guides Scottsdale couples through each decision until the decree is ready. The Arizona Mediator's Association recognized him as Arizona's Top Mediator for 2025, and his legal training from ASU's Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law helps him turn agreements into clear, court-ready terms.
A divorce mediated with Aurit stays private, predictable, and in your hands. Scottsdale couples choose us for three reasons:
Your personalized fee is quoted at the free consultation, with no retainer and no hourly billing, and 0% interest payment plans are available.
Aurit drafts the decree and supporting documents and files them, so the process does not stall on forms.
Your mediator gives legal information, not legal advice, and can share a list of family law attorneys if either spouse wants an independent review.
Recent pay stubs, tax returns, account statements, and a list of debts help your mediator build a complete picture. If you have children, bring school and activity schedules too. Your mediator tells you exactly what to gather at the free consultation.
Yes. Sessions can take place at our headquarters at 5425 E Bell Rd, Suite 104, or online, and many couples mix the two. The office is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Mediation averages 2 to 4 months. Arizona’s 60-day waiting period also applies before a divorce is finalized, and your mediator plans your timeline around it.
The calmer path starts with one conversation. In your free one-hour consultation, a mediator answers your questions, explains each step, and gives you a personalized flat fee.
